Hey ■■■■■■■■ Gill, I noticed stobart have a truck named Ava rose. Which is my daughters name. Don’t suppose you have a picture of said truck do you? I’ve passed it twice now and am determined to get a picture of her next to it.

Ava Rose is a very interesting truck. The MAN TGX XXL started life as Lynda Dawn (registration DK57 EXA), which ran out of the Carlisle HQ.

In 2011, the truck was moved to Widnes where it received a personalised reg (T23 ESL) and a new name, Ava Rose.

Sadly, I’m afraid I personally don’t have a photo of truck with the Ava Rose name on but I have several with its original name on.

If you are wanting to get a photo of your daughter with the truck, I suggest the best place to go is Foundry Lane, Widnes, as that it where it is based.
Its normally parked up in the Foundry Lane yard every weekend and if you where to ask one of the office staff based on site, I’m sure they’d allow you to get up close for a photo.

This is not a Eddie Stobart slurring CG could you tell me by the trailer number if this is one of his new long trailers .Looks like he has backed into cab but like my son says looks if you look close been turning left and arse end has kicked out catching M A N cab

Just shows what can happen when a untrained driver for longer semi’s is driving a truck with a longer semi on and doesn’t understand the turning circle required for such a trailer!!

Thankyou for that excellent photo marra.

That trailer is based at Lillyhall and was a trailer that they moved up from Aintree when they reduced the trailer fleet at the depot.

I suspect that it works on local shunting with one of the Lillyhall trio but why they haven’t removed the shunt only label I can’t answer

Yes, Stobart’s have quite a lot of trucks based out of Teesport, mainly Scania’s with a few Volvo FH13’s as well (sure the Volvo’s are all 11 reg)

Didn’t realise ASDA where out at Teesport too. That’s something new!!

Yes, I love the A66 for spotting. Often get a few new ones on there
