I think your both right there kevchalluk and Jonny.

I bet he though he was up s*** creak when you took that photo Jonny. I maybe thinks you are a undercover Stobart boss and you’ll split on him.

Personally, Yes its wrong but at the end of the day, will Stobarts do anything? Will the Police be interested. Answer: No!

That 05 plate seems to be getting around a lot latey, seen a few pics of it. Or maybe it just stands out because of it’s age and the Kelsa Lo-Bar.

I would of thought stobarts may give him a bit of a dissaplinery but your right about the police they are only really interested if they catch u in the act!! And I know he is a subbie but how come he has permission to put a kelsa lobar on his wagon surely stobarts would want him to keep to the standards of their actual fleet wagons? :sunglasses:

If that were the case, he wouldn’t be driving an 05 plate and he’d get that headboard sorted out too

The only time I would ‘grass’ on a driver, is if they acted like a complete arse towards me. As I could have done with a Tarmac driver who decided to offer a bunch of bananas for his picture being taken :unamused: but I’ve better things to do with my life than grass on folk. But if the company or another grass see’s it and takes action, not my problem. If they weren’t breaking the law in the first place they wouldn’t be in said ■■■■ situation. That;s my view anyway!

Cheers

Hello dew
Your right it is. Seen it up at Carlisle last November.

Not sure whioch subbie owns that but I think the same subbie could own H067, H065 & H066.

Hello shell chemFL10
Not always marra. If you actually own the lorry and don’t rent it from Stobarts (around 20 do this), you are allowed to anything you want with it (aslong as its kept in the ESL livery).
Kelsa bars, special lights anything you can think of. Subbies who rent trucks from Stobarts can’t do anything like this unless Stobarts want to say put a personalised reg plate on or change the name/ fleet no. (this happens a lot with Subbie owned trucks)

Also, Subbie who own their trucks can buy what truck they like and keep it for as long as they like, whereas if you rent if off Stobarts, you useally get a 11 reg Scania R, which Stobarts can replace (giving you another like) when they like (i.e when they think they are going to get a good price off Scania)

Stobart rented trucks tend not to be Volvo’s or anything special. Just Scania’s
Hope this helps marra

I agree with you there kevchalluk. It looks a bloody mess.

If the owner is reading this, please marra get it sorted out. Its showing up the rest of the fleet.

I’ve had things like that too Jonny marra. Was once standing at Waverton, ■■■■■■■ taking photos and this Biffa Rigid Skip wagon came along.
As I was taking the photo, he slowed down inorder to hold a card notice up with one hand saying “F*** off you stupid F****** B******” :grimacing: (thats the polite way of typing it).

Lucky, still got a photo and took it to the police who basically wheren’t interested. Said they would let me know, the typical way of trying to tell you P*** off.
Actually emailed it to Biffa who said they would have a word with him and said that they where sorry and that they regretted the drivers actions.

He should have got the sack but I still see the same driver knocking about in a Biffa lorry. Nice

Hello Jonny Truckfest and ■■■■■■■■ Gill,
It has gone so ignorant these days. - Wherever you are - a camara could be watching u.
When I was lorry driving back before the 90s I had all the privacy that I wanted.
I don’t mind lorries being photographed when they parked up, but please don’t take photos
of the drivers too close when they are on the move.- give them a bit of privacy to get on with life.
regards - Hywel.

Fair enough CG thanks for the info mate :sunglasses:

Anyone got a pic of the Volvo with the air con pod and cb aerial on it ?

Fair point Hywel marra. I understand what you mean but moving photos are far better than parked up photos (if you can get the like)

Actually, most drivers give you a wave, flash or a toot if your lucky. Its only a few buggers like the one I mentioned that are a pain.
