The DAF that runs on fresh air

Drove 200 miles back to base yesterday with this much fuel in the tank… :open_mouth:

Now thats what i call economical driving :exclamation:

Scotch booster down the hills eh.

 I’m not the only one then!

I spent the worst couple of hours I’ve ever had in a truck driving 'round leicester in rush hour, with the needle a fair bit lower than that, looking for a keyfuels - there should have been several but one had shut down, another’s hgv pumps were on the blink etc etc. I’d normally have put £20 worth in it off my own bank card and claimed it back but I hadn’t got it with me.

I was sweating, getting all fidgety and impatient, was practicly chewing the steering wheel but it just kept going!

Trouble is, I expected another to do the same and ran out waiting for a pump

hope the tank was clean or else thats a lot of dirt getting sucked up. :unamused:

Why is that when we are running on vapour we always turn the radio off too - or is that just me?

How do you work that one out when the fuel pick-up is from the bottom of the tank to begin with? :unamused:

Would not be the infamous DAF electrics giving you a false reading by anychance?
