/G. Would I be correct in saying that Browns of Carlisle, was the same Browns of Thursebey that ran some Dodge tippers in the 50/60s ? Regards Larry

Hello Lawrence,
I think you could be right. F Brown (in there early days) ran a fleet of tippers at Cardewless, but they sold them off.
Ask Hodgeturbo, I’m sure he could shed some light on this story (or even Bewick might know)
Regards

I thought it was a good show, very friendly people there but sadly the weather didn’t help.Tippers are always my favourites and the Hodgson Scania was top class. If it was Dempsters that had the 8w and 6w Scania tippers there I saw them too-a credit to the drivers.Regards Tim

Hello Tim C,
Heres one of the Dempsters wagons (sorry for quality of it. It is great on the computer but this is a printed off picture).

The pic looks ok to me CG-I only ever take pics on the mobile phone camera, the good lady bought one of those digital cameras but I can’t get on with it-too complicated.Another nice Scania-a quality motor well looked after. regards Tim

Hello Tim C,
Thats fro that comment. I use a digital camera (Panasonic Lumix, not one of the big ones) and it’s great.
I will try to post some more photos of tippers from Kirkbride at the weekend.
