Here are some ■■■■■■■■ ERFs to be going on with CG.
Hello truckfing,
thankyou for the photos of ■■■■■■■■ ERF’s.
How many ERF’s did Jenkinsons operate?
■■■■■■■■ Gill
I have no idea how many ERFs Jenkinsons ran. I actually took that one in St. Austell where they were building a Tesco supermarket. I did not see them very often in those days but whereever I went in the country there would either be a Shearings coach or a Jenkinsons tipper. Here are a few more ■■■■■■■■ tippers.
Where was that last one taken CG?. It look’s familiar. Here are a few more ■■■■■■■■■
Hello truckfing,
The last one was taken outside The Globe Pub on Castle Way in Carlisle. Just down the road is Carr’s of Carlisle’s Factory.

(P.S. Great photos by the way, do you have any more of John Beatys wagons?)
Hello,heres a couple of oldies .
Cheers Bubbs,
Your pictures go back a bit further than mine Bubbs. Thanks for the Scanias and thanks CG for the location of the photo. I thought I recognised it, I think I spent a day there taking pictures in 2000 but there are a lot more lights there now. This counts as an old Scania in my photos.
Hello truckfing & bubbles,
Thanks for the great photos from both of your collections. Truckfing, have you anymore of Greggains wagons? I know a lot about them but I didn’t know they ran artic tippers. Have you any more photos?
■■■■■■■■ Gill
Sorry CG but that is the one and only picture I have of Greggains. When I was leading out of Caldbeck Quarry in 1984 there were 2 Greggain 8 wheelers on the same job as well as some D&A Harrison ERFs, but I was not taking pictures then and once safely back in Lancashire I hardly ever saw those companys again.
Hello truckfing,
Where kind of lorries where the Greggains wagons, where they Scanias or Leylands?
■■■■■■■■ Gill
P.S Can you remember Scotts of Maryport when you when in ■■■■■■■■
Hi CG, don’t remember Scotts or what wagons Greggain had back then. There were several owner drivers on the same job. It was when they dug out the northbound M6 where the River Eden runs very close to the motorway and started all over again. They had it dug out about 6ft deep and one night a BRS driver drove over the end, hit the bottom and bounced back out to end up sitting on the centre barrier. They had to close the motorway to get a crane in and lift him off. He had been loaded with cleaning products and we all got a cab full before they sent us away. Running out of pictures a bit now so they are only coming one at a time.
Hello Truckfing,
Thanks for the info.
I will post some more of my photos tonight
