Only a few from my collection, as unable to travel so far North on a regular basis. Taken in the 90’s in Shap.

Away from the bigger tippers for a change , but too big to be labelled as a puddle jumper
.
Metcalfe Bros. of Sedbergh & Kendal operate this versatile Mercedes tipper in part of their mixed fleet of tippers and low loaders.
Cheers , cattle wagon man.

Welcome to The ■■■■■■■■ Tipper Operators Page.
■■■■■■■ is full of large and small Tipper Companies, mainly because of ■■■■■■■■■ Industries.
This forum will look at them all.
Enjoy

Hello
Has anyone got any photos of Ken Little’s MAN Artics? He ran a load of thses intill he bought his DAF CF Tipper.
Can anyone help?
■■■■■■■■ Gill
I can’t help with the MANs but here is a ■■■■■■■■ Seddon Atkinson that escaped into Lancashire. I worked out of Caldbeck Quarry for a few months in 1984 and saw a lot of ■■■■■■■■ tippers but was not taking pictures then unfortunately.
Not much of a shot, but we ran three of these in the early/mid 70’s,mainly subbing via my pal Malc Woodhouse.Mainly Coal,Frag,Pig Iron(JWG) Grain/animal feed. The tippers didn’t really blend in with our flat platform traffic which was our main area of work,so I eventually sold all three tippers to MW and good riddance if I was honest!!!
Hello everyone,
Thanks Bewick and truckfing for posting there Tipper photos. Truckfing, thats a good photo of K & A Fearon’s Seddon & A Tipper? I know Ken Fearon’s brother Rob Fearon, he’s a good mate of mine. A one time, he drove for his brother (his brother is married to Anne Fearon, was Anne Stobart) taking lime to farms, speading it, then going back to Hesket for another load and taking it else where.
Have you have any more K & A Fearon photos

That caps you eh! Marra!! we did a lot of work both into and out of West ■■■■■■■ throughout the 70’s and early 80’s.In the early years with the tippers and occaisional flats and then from 74’ onwards via our McGuffie Transport subsiduary with anything up to 2 or 3 loads of new drums, per day, into Marchon. We reloaded from both Marchon and the Steel Works although our rates to Lancashire and Cheshire from Milnthorpe were always slightly better so if we were busy at home we just ran down through the Lakes M/t!! Cheers Bewick.
No more Fearons I’m afraid but I did once tip a load of lime in their shed when working at Caldbeck. I think they had a Leyland Reiver at that time. Here are a few more ■■■■■■■■ tippers from recent times.

P.S Bewick, can you remember a company called West ■■■■■■■■ By-Products based at Flimby? My Uncle’s Dad used to run the Company and had a fleet of dark blue lorries that went to Marchon.
Hiya CG,hoo’sta garn on Marra? You always seem to get hold of the wrang end 'ot stick eh! Yes I remember WCBP very well as I bought 5 of their fairly new R112’s at the time they were bought out by Tankfreight eh! And it would have be T/F motors you saw running into Marchon! WCBP fleet colour was orange and brown eh! prior to these colours being used they were an olive green and black colour eh! Cheers Bewick.
Here thoo is Marra! I’ve dug out a shot of 3 of the 5 WCBP 112’s I bought standing in the depot prior to going into the paintshop eh! There’s a K. Fell 111 there as well which had just come out of service which I had sold to Lancaster Training Services for conversion into a 6 wheel rigid as it had a 5speed gearbox which was far simpler for the “L” drivers to use!!! Cheers Bewick P.S. don’t 'iver say I do nowt for you eh!
