I used to occasionally fall over the man himself running an older 6 wheeler, even caught one outside my village one morning so sure I’m being stalked :open_mouth:

Think so, was a 6 wheeler with a 420 in iirc.

Also overtook one of his 62 regs on the A66 on Tuesday morning, nice considerate move by the driver dropping back from the Artic infront so I didn’t have to get them both in one leap

Hi CG

Here is a photo of one of Ken Little’s MAN units I think it might have been the last one he had and also a shot of his Volvo 4-wheeler, also a shot of one of Rodger Todd’s previous Scania’s in a before and after shot. regards prattman.

Excellent shots of Little’s MAN’s. I’ve never seen any photos of any he ran so that is excellent

Great to see photos of companies with great liveries and that are still going strong today!

We used to own Clintz Quarry at Moota, near Aspatria.

Don’t suppose anyone has any photos of the quarry itself or the tippers there?

I spent a bit of time there in my early teens and during the school holidays.

God knows how they all put up with me…

Was Arthur Coulthard the quarry manager at Moota in the '50’s and as I recall my uncle Stan was a plant fitter at Clintz then IIRC he left to work for Arthur when he started his Block plant at Silloth (I think?) Cheers Bewick.

Not sure, it would have been the mid-sixties when I knew it and I think Geordie Williams was the Manager at the time.

We sold all of our quarries shortly after that when Foot & Mouth almost wiped us out in 1967.
