This one used to park in a ■■■■■■■■ village. Specially for DEW who should be able to identify it even though it isn’t green

Erm, may have got some wires crossed Truckfing as that wasn’t one of my Families trucks IIRC, My dads was an E-Reg, And my uncles had a D-reg, and the other was in Leyland “T45” blue (and the ribbings he got for it), Can’t recall anyone having an F-Plate one but I’m still thinking on it. Looks like it’s F135 BOA?

Even my dads drawing a blank unless it is Tel’s old one (the ex T45 Blue)

It was ■■■■ Woodend’s. Your great uncle I think. It replaced the Reiver NRN444T. I remember it had a fuller gearbox which he could never get the hang of.

There’s that many of you with tippers “dew” how can you be expected to know every one in your “closely” knit community,it could,of course,be one of Trevor’s you know ■■■■ all about, which he has out based in Whassett !!( operating centre,The Jam Butty Mines!) Cheers Dennis.

Definetly confused there as ■■■■ never had a Constructor, Possibly Michael’s (His son), And wouldn’t it have been the Spicer box not a fuller? My dads was a Spicer and apparently they could be a handful. My dad seems to think it would be Michael’s, but running under ■■■■’s Operators License.

EDIT: Stand corrected, by dad says only the 240bhp (Like his) or the 8 leggers had the Spicer in, lesser ones did have the fullers correct.

Dennis, those are the treacle Mines, not Jam Butty! Know of them well!

We sure did “dew” but it came to an abrupt end in 1985 when we moved to The Coach and Horses in Milnthorpe,a far better place !! Thats where Trevor joined in as that was his 2nd local after the Club !! Cheers Dennis.

Now I have been in the C & H a few times we’ve played pool against them for the last 5 years or so, A nice place indeed!

Here is a clearer view of the number plate. Sat in Silverdale Quarry. I think Michael did end up with it but I remember ■■■■ stopping me and asking how to get gears in it

I’d got the reg right then  I’m not as daft as I look. ■■■■ must have run it in his later days then, I thought he would have all but packed up by 1989! Struggle to remember that far back, then again I was only born in November of that year…

When our Depot was opposite the C&H in the 70’s I came within a ■■■ papers thickness of putting a run-a-way Mercedes tractor unit through the fron’t window of the pub, phew! that was close, and it wasn’t even our motor !! Dennis.

Not got any pics yet as always pass it in the dark, but Chamber’s Garage at Tirril (near penrith) have a very smart DAF XF in pulling a new tipper trailer, often parked outside over night.

Goes with a very impressive line up of Recovery trucks.

Hi. Thank you for your kind comments about our DAF XF and Recovery Trucks, makes a nice change. Will post some pictures asap, when we clean it again !!!.

Take it your trucks aren’t popular round there then?

Personally I like it, only critsism is the small middle axle, but I’m never keen on those
