Iron Mountain ■■? i think they have about 450 vehicles

.
They appear to be changing their name on the O-Licence from
Iron Mountain (UK) Ltd to Iron Mountain Europe Ltd.

Seven entries currently showing as “Application In Progress” but
without any vehicle numbers.
.
.

Probably changing for tax reasons  changing most of the fleet from 7.5t to 7t as well.
I know out of the east london depot they have about 60 vehicles

And Tesco have a bigger fleet than 99% of them.

Dieseldoforme:
.
These are the biggest Transport Companies that I can think of.
Many TruckNetUK Members proudly wear their uniform as they toil
to keep the wheels of industry turning.
New Birds Groupage

is now called Birds Transport & Logistics and have incorporated CFT into the group aswell. although they both come under the Balleyvesey Holdings Banner along with all Montgomereys groups, Montracon Trailers and a whole list of other co.s

Should Elite be on the list■■?

.
.
If only we knew which of the 138 listed Elites.
.
.

I guessed he meant Elite Transport, but they’re now part of Deben

no they are not, Elite Transport went into administration earlier this year and closed down

Deben simply bought some of their equipment, and moved in to their manchester office to open a depot there

Howdens are bigger than a lot of them

Lomas Distribution, must have 200 +

K transport their licence is for 70 wagon and 110 trailers over 3 operating centres

.
I am amazed.

This industry of “ever diminishing returns” seems to attract every
Tom, ■■■■ & Harry who has four or more wheels to turn.

Perhaps warehousing makes the money and transport is just a by-product.

Will we see any major collapses or mergers in the next 10 years ?

Will DHL really buy Nobby Dressing Table ■■?

Will we really see a DHL / Wincanton merger ■■?

Will Eddie really go belly up ■■?

And why are you still earning 2003 wages ■■?

Licences for 1255 Vehicles.
.
.

The number of vehicles and trailers specified on an O licence doesn’t mean that the company actually operate that number. Nearly every operator has a margin on their O licence to allow them to hire or increase their fleet if need be. Also it gives them a safety net,if the number of vehicles on the licence gets curtailed, if they get in trouble with the Traffic Commissioner.

.
Most people with any knowledge of our industry will be aware of that.

Thanx anyway.
