The Bah Humbug Club!

Got home from the hospital yesterday evening following the Stoma reversal. Surgeon insists I drink plenty of fluids. Great advice and following it to the letter! Would have done it anyway, but it’s a good excuse to avoid the sprouts etc. Have a good one all of you. JIm.

Dave the Renegade:

A present from Ebenezer for you dieseldave.
Cheers Dave.

Cheers for that Dave.

However, being teetotal, I prefer tea that comes in mugs like these:

Bah Humbug.

It’s nearly over lads, you can break cover in a few hours!! Hopefully I have prepared and eaten my last sprout and parsnip for 2015, just four tins of assorted biccys to chomp our way through but I will enjoy that. Niece presented me with a small bottle of Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey which I hope tastes better than it sounds, it can always be used for drain unblocking purposes if it tastes foul! Otherwise a quiet festive time, no visitors to annoy me apart from a 'phone call at 7.45 am Christmas Eve morning from one of our Asian ‘friends’ inviting me to take part in a survey. :unamused:

Pete.

Pete, it’s very naughty saying things like that on here, there are some old men, professional imbibers, who can easily go into shock when hearing things like whisky and drain cleaner in the same sentence.
Just take a bit more care when posting and send any unwanted alcohol spirit to…Grumpy Old Man, Dewsbury…

Thank’s Nathan, I will try it out at New Year. A lass who is one of my wife’s carers loves the stuff as well!

Very nice, take them awful greedy boards off and weigh them in first though. That 270 Gardner would almost coax my old chap out of retirement. Almost.

I tend to pour a double measure into a glass, drink the first measure as the good lord intended without the wife seeing, then add some lemonade to it before drinking it infront of the wife. She thinks I’m being more responsible than I was with it last year when a Christmas Day bottle disappeared by the 28th.
She still :unamused: when I have to return to the local Spar shop to partake in their 3 for £5 offer on real ales though.

So has anyone still got their decorations up? Ours came down yesterday during my baby daughters’ (she’s 1 on Tuesday :open_mouth: )afternoon nap with her big brother helping with the demolition…there were chocolates on the tree and he was playing “scrapman” by collecting them as payment for services rendered.

Its all over now folks, back to normal yippee !

Miserable {zb}s,and a lousy New Year to you all, loads of blowouts, engine failures, ministry problems and loss making every trip, bah humbug. :sunglasses:

Of course mine are down ok they went up on 24th as per came down 2nd which is late for me as normally down NYD so back to normal

We didn’t put any decorations up, just sprayed some glitter on the cobwebs and that was good enough I reckon? Cards come down tomorrow, they get ripped in half and one half goes for shopping lists and the picture bit gets recycled, unless it has glitter on it (can’t recycle them with glitter on) and then it just gets binned!

I drank the Jack Daniels on New Years Eve Nathan, it was ok but I wont be getting any more as that is the only day that I ever drink alchohol each year.

Pete.

Nope, I haven’t got any decorations in the first place, which saves me from having to put them up or take them down. :sunglasses:

At my establishment, children had to pay ‘tax’ on selection boxes etc, …but only if the chocolate was nice.
