That one place...

merc0447:
United wholesale, Maxwell road branch…Sends shivers down spine

is that the one at polmadie near hampden? :grimacing: pish and I’m a manc :sunglasses:

Matalan skelmersdale for me :imp: lazy scouse ■■■■■

Anywhere with farm, Mill or Grove in the address

Syncreon at Hams Hall as it’s the least organised place with the laziest warehouse staff I’ve come across… & Rhenus Logistics Bradford… Total chaos… every man for himself!!

Kolak snack foods in Park Royal.

Tosco, Fanny ■■■■, closely followed by Waitrose S’m’elshall, both in MK, so at least I can walk home if they do finally Do My Head In one day.

Ps, wonder if Fanny ■■■■ will get past the Censors ?
It’s not really swearing as there was a famous chef called Fanny Craddock & a Male Chicken is a ■■■■ !

Hansons’ Kidlington Sidings. A different excuse why he can’t load straight away, everytime I go in there. In fact, everytime every driver goes in there. Too busy, too quiet, computer’s too slow, train was late, train was early, machine needs greasing, machine needs of diesel, got to speak to area manager on the phone… :unamused:

yorkshire terrier:
one of my previous jobs had a contract doing aluminium and most drops were a nightmare and every run sheet was just met with a load of swear words .

We’ve got a contract running steel for CMC Cardiff - total nightmare. For some reason they liked me in there - I had to threaten to resign this week just to get off the ■■■■■■■ contract!

No. Same company but a different branch. Polmadie is a great drop. Beats me how 2 different branches of the same company can be like night and day.

Any home address that on the satnav looks like a cul de sac and they expect me to get a 45ft truck and trailer car transporter down. :open_mouth:

It is shut down now, but Woolies
At Swindon, narrow unloading bays.
Pillars and posts that got hit daily.
The “punishment bay” reserved if you were late or had attitude.
The floor was littered with mirrors and other bits of truck that became a cropper.
You could be there six hours or more.

Howdens Joinery Darwen or Keswick. Both unbelievably ridiculous spots. Darwen used to be OK until one of the unit owners decided to fence off his yard so its now a shared yard 30ft wide with them in the top corner and if anything else is in there you can’t get in. You have to reverse into some council garages to get out.

Keswick you’re kissing road bollards turning onto the main road you turn off. You then go up the side of the pencil museum into a yard absolutely rammed full of cars from customers of the two garages they share it with. Usually end up having to get the garages and a nearby unit to move several cars to be able to get out.

Kwik save Newport.

Sounds a lot like the time I got boxed in doing a drop for Co-op.

bald bloke:
Iceland Swindon ambient, luckily for me it’s about once a year but that’s once too many.

see I always liked it there on nights with Dawn and Karen ( she worked around the other side) who covered when Dawn was off.
High bay, bay 13 I think it was

The ■■■■■ in Goods in thought she was the dogs nuts but acted more like the dogs loaf … she told me I’d be ages I told her I didn’t think so not for 1 pallet and that I was on time … hour later I went in for me notes and she refused well I didn’t need the notes to get off site nor the gate pass as a simple "open or I bust the gate " I think the guys on security knew the score as I never had crap off them . :grimacing:

Amsterdam, full of streets tighter than a 10 year old, and weight restrictions everywhere, not to mention the ■■■■■■■ cyclists!

Hasons Thatcham what lovely people !! NOT

I had a new car delivered today , I had to get in and his screw his unit around until the cab was half way through my hedge before reversing out of our close.
The driver was near in tears saying no way could he get it out again.
The bit I find funny was on his notes…it said “plenty of room to turn”
I had told them to call me from the main road and I would met them…as there is NO room, and a sodding ditch down one side where the old bill dropped a Vauxhall van about 2yrs ago !!!
Poor sod was not an agency either , but he was in his probation period…and I did not tell his boss either So out of decency I will not name and shame as I think he has learned to put a coat on and walk in and look in future , Like you old hands would !!!

British Gypsum…East Leake and Kirby Thore
Ridiculous Health and Safety rules.
I was at Kirby Thore today and was pulled up by a health and safety ■■■■ as I was walking up some steps in a corridor.
This idiot then gave me a lesson on how to walk up five steps clinging on to both handrails.
I have been pulled up just about every time I visit for stupid health and safety rules.
The induction course lasted half a hour watching a video with multiple choice questions. Most of it had nothing to do with collecting or delivering a load and was more aimed at contractors fixing machinery or working on the roof.
The next one might get a polite [zb] Off.
As for the loading bays with raised floor around the trailer it is a joke.At East Leake once on a bay you cant open the door and have to climb out the window or risk damaging the n/s wing by parking it against the bay wall and trying to squeeze out the door. They have a couple of bays with a slight opening so the door will open slightly to squeeze out but you can wait hours for one to become available.
I cant believe a company is run like this , you waste hours and loading and unloading.
I have to go back again in the morning
