The driver of this heavy was sighted going through Burtonwood tapping away on his mobile phone, and despite the blue lights and sirens it still didn’t grab his attention until it was too late.
The driver stated he was messaging his friends about a wage

The law should have said they didn’t know that mobile phones did texts 31 years ago then tell him he’s going to be booked for all those offences too retrospectively.

stupid driver, and more stupid getting caught. i occasionally take a sip of water, or change a podcast or radio station on my phone but i make sure i look in my mirror and no one is about forward planning for the wrong reasons. I would never do so if a car is adjacent to me as dash cams and all sorts, i would never do if i had a buddy driver with me either.
That pretty much my only boast about my career at this stage- I’ve never killed anyone. One for the CV
