Test in April and New Speed Limits do they apply to the test

Hi getting confused here as I’m having test in April (Next Week) and dunno if the new speed limits already apply to the tests?
Test centre is the one in Mansfield owned by Peter Smythe.

I had an instruction by Peter Smythe school and it was with the old speed limits in place and the test was also with the old speed limits in place so 30/40/50

new speeds applied to my test thursday

I would ask the examiner on the day as its down to him/her. If you assume they do apply yet your examiner does not then its you who’s going to fail.

Yes they do apply, but don’t take them as targets drive to the conditions of the road.

Paul

Think of it this way
If a road has a 50mph limit today but reduced to 40mph as of next month when a test is,would you be allowed to do 50 on it on test day? Nope.

As Paul said, yes they apply. But you can only drive according to the prevailing road and traffic conditions.

Pete

Thanks for advice guys, but what i meant by Do i get marked down for hesitation while I’ll do 40 on a Now 50 mph single carriageway road ? I’m talking about Mansfield area.

Got to say I’m scared to do more than 40 on single carriageway Motorway is OK cause you have more room and the lanes seems bit wider.

If you do not do 50 on a road where it is safe and legal to do so then you will get marked for not making progress

Shame the majority on here don’t get that and moan about those welcoming the new limits.

Planning an preparation!!! you shouldn’t be scared you should no the size of the vehicle you are driving, relax, read that road remember if you do 50 allow the little bit extra for stopping.

Chill out and pretend the examiner is not in the cab, you will be fine good luck !!
