Again this tripe is all about tackling the symptoms and not the underlying causes of the problem, which is typical of your dumb lefty b-liar/Corbyn marxists, the unwanted multiculti enrichment gift from the lefties looneys, just keeps on giving,
If you are serious about reducing congestion without spending billions and raising taxes, then the population needs to be reduced, that population,
That being all those uninvited who think they have a right to be here and sponge/■■■■ on & drain the welfare teat, and the free health care teat,
Both which should be only accessible to our indigenious population, because that is what it was designed for And our EU cheap labour should have to have their own valid healthcare insurance for the entire duration of their stay in the uk (if our idiots in the overpaid NHS management will not police and claim back medical expenses from their countries under the eu agreements currently in place)
seeing as our ee freinds hold the record for the birth rates in the uk during the past 5years, according to stats from our government, My bet is that a big percentage of them will return with their new family to their home countries,
Because they are FAMILY FRIENDLY, unlike ukistanh their government has chosen to protect it’s citizens (indigenous) from the barbaric savages that pose as refugees in a bid to invade any country that is dumb enough to open it borders too them,
I don’t blame them for this at all self-preservation is key and i respect Viktor Orbán for taking this stance , whilst i hate the shower of crap we have running this once great country into the ground,
London has fallen it’s not far away from becoming a 3rd world sewer these days, thanks to the likes of ABBOTpottumas, Halal Lammby and mayor, weasel Khant ALL need to go

13 hivized to death herberts standing around with their hands in their pockets doing absolutely nothing except watch a crane lift a container onto a truck.
i cant imagine how productive itl be encouraging trucks onto the railways in the future.
tosco, stobarts, and asda are the only beancounter outfits that could accept that work procedure. way to go the railworkers. no wonder britain went right down the toilet for production years ago…
Pathetic isnt it. Obviously of the opinion that being clobbered by the crane or having a 20ton flask drop on them that the hard hard will do the job
Imagine the wages being paid there with all those plebs watching it being loaded, the crane operator could do the job on his own, typical UK H&S.
Having this lot stand around while containers are being loaded/unloaded for Tosco coupled with the usual plobbing out on the road really cant be saving anyone anything…
It is far more efficient to move goods by train than truck, the problem is that not many industrial estates in the UK have rail access. Here in the USA I don’t know of any industrial estates that do not have rail links.

But the uk is nowhere near the same size is it? and it is far greater densely populated in fact it is the most densely populated country in Europe let alone the dictatorship that is the EU

And that photo doesn’t show the CNC officers standing at the gate with their assault rifles in hand.
The photo was from the trial run when the railhead opened, so I’m sure the Dounreay staff just turned up for a jolly to see what was going on. The transport costs are pretty minor in the grand scheme of the £3bn of public money being spent on decommissioning. Irrespective of the costs, nuclear materials won’t be getting moved 400 miles to Sellafield by road. DRS is owed by the NDA, it exists to transport nuclear materials, pulling Tesco trains is just a bit of commercial operation on the side for them.

Not too far in the distant future the EU can be rid of the UK

On a different subject, and with you having a bit more local view. Whats the general feeling in Spain about the situation in Catalunia?.
I havent been in Spain for maybe 20 years but regional sepretism was a big thing back then.
Genuinely interested.
Catalonia is one of the richest properous regions in Spain and it never surprised me the independence referendum being outlawed, it was a pretty brutal clampdown as well with the police more or less being given carte blanche to bring things under control. Without Catalonia Spain could only be a poorer place. My personal view is that this will be a very long running battle against the govt, the Catalonian parliament may be dissolved but the Catalonians are a very independent strong willed people…
Alliepallie4:
info from direct rail services website
On average, each rail journey takes 77 heavy goods vehicles off the UK’s already congested roads. This results in dramatic fuel savings and can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 80% depending on the route.
Prove it ! I hate phoney looney left, picked from thin air statements with no credibility what ever. 77 Goods vehicles ! You counted them all I suppose ? The big ones, the little ones and those with lots of wheels ? 80% of emissions ? who did that measurement ? You expect me to believe that just because you said so ?
Get a life and go and peddle your fake statistics elsewhere. Stirer.

Been reading on another forum that Tesco has 8 dedicated trains a day so before I reply anybody have any idea how many truck loads Tesco send out each day just to compare, it must be in the thousands.
Bloody good too. We should have more trains doing the trunking runs. Makes perfect sense. If BR hadn’t been so arrogant maybe we would have.
Worked out of Tesco’s Livingston yesterday. By 7.30pm we were dropping trailers off for the RSU (recycling unit) as they’d all ■■■■■■ off home including their gobby shunters at 6pm.
Meanwhile us drivers were still delivering the goods…
Tesco Livingston sends stuff out to the whole of Scotland and it is sodding big.
Can’t be that big. There’s only 5.8 million people living in scotch land. There are 64 million people living in the UK. Only 8% of the UK population lives in scotch land. It just sounds more because they have big gobs and are always in yer face. I ALWAYS put the telly on mute as soon as they come on with their verbal bull. It costs alot in batteries for the remote but is well worth it. I was in my prime when they were going for independence. I was behind them all the way. Hoping to hell that they would pish off, leave us alone and preferably go bankrupt. Such a let down when they saw the light. Salmon and Sturgeon ? There’s got to be something fishy there. Stand-by First Sea Lord Raymundo is about to do his C U Jimmy bit !!!
So, the old Franco mentality is still alive and well.
Like most, I watch the news but find increasingly hard to believe and treat with sceptasism so, being our man en Espana. I value your opinion
During the Balkens conflict, I was in touch(like now, over the internet) with a guy in Sariavjo who seemed to directly contradict news reports in the UK. Who would have guessed??
My take on this is, and the similarities to Brexit.
Catalan holds “informal” referendum to suceed Spanish Federal observation. After years of taking the ■■■■, the people want change
Federal forces impose a hastely draconion “project fear” only to accept the supposed idea of democracy to let the people decide for themselves by holding a non binding official referendum
Oh, no. The people chose wrong.
Enter a lot of threating political posturing whilst conducting “survey” over the sitution( on the public ■■■■■ ) trying to maintian the status quo.
I am not Cataluian. But I understand their need for independence.
Youve hit the nail on the head Andie and whether for or against independance a large %age of Spaniards would also agree…

wrong
Info
The UK has the third largest population by mass within Europe and also the third largest by density of population, if you discount the much smaller countries and principalities.

I think he was more referring to how much space Scotland takes up. You’d think with that much distance between places Scotland would join the 21st century and put the speed limits back in line with the rest of the UK but no. Sturgeon thinks her six million know better than the 60 million in the rest of the country!
