An hour before your booking time. Make sure you have your T number for the touch screen. Not the old LM Ref number.
As for Tipping anyone’s guess anywhere from 30 odd minutes to several hours.
How long before or after booking time depends on the supplier. Some are allowed four hours either side of the booking time. As for how long to tip, it all depends what time of day you are there, it can be in and out within an hour or you might be there all morning.

You will most certainly need a reference starting with T4 to get past the touch screen at the gate. If you don’t have it you may be able to play dumb and wangle your way in, depends who’s on the other end of the intercom. I have seen drivers turned away though.
We have it supplied to us by the office on our manifests, its not on our customers paperwork.
Yep as above the t4 number is required and yes they do tirn people away without it and tell you to get it re-present yourself.
Each depot has its own ref number for the new booking in system unique to the site your at.
As said we have it on our trip sheet not on the delivery note.
As an example Booked in at 9pm tonight arrived at 2030 manged to get tipped and checked off in just under 2 hours. We are now being pulled out after 2 hours past our booking in time at every site not just Tesco. And our place are now actively managing it.
And that’s on a good day and I only had 18 pallets tonight not a full load either.
Get there early.
You’ll only need a couple of dopey fkrs who can’t work a touch screen…and they’ll be queuing back to the a5.
If you do go straight through,they’ll put you in a parking bay…till a bay comes available.

I arrived there 4 1/2 hours early one day, and was told by the computer screen I couldn’t book in more than 2 hours early. Reading is the same if I recall correctly.
