you say the unions do nothing for you.perhaps its because you havnt the guts to stand up and be counted if the union called you out on strike .a union is only has strong as its members ,need i say more.train drivers get £35,000 a year for a 35hr week why?because they have the guts to back there union.warrior?

train drivers get that money because they tspt humans not tins of beans, and that job is classed as professional you need a brain ,you dont to drive a lorry according to the wages i see offered in the paper ,also as my brother in law says it took him five years to learn his job ,he got to learn ours in 5 days ,he passed on a friday and on the sun he was in a topline scania for nianiamhs place tippin magor and got £16ph,the following saturday me and tony were gettin £12 ph on maxi up to immingham load a coach chassis on a flat and drop it at birken head its not rocket science,as for havin the guts to stand up and be counted when the the union want me out on strike dont make me laff you mug,how about the union saying they will stand up for us against minimum wages idiot drivers who take crap wages, low wages offered as the employers know tax credits make it up ,and hissin in bottles and havin a dump in your trl no showers etc etc etc unions waste of time,i dont mind working got know choice what i do object to is bellends missing the point,i stand up for myself and if i am short i do it on the agency on a weekend, and thats the crux of the matter i will work for the right money i dont want it for nowt tesco drivers do, aint know man goin to put up with that.rip tgwu non of there delegates look like they ever done a days work.

Could someone translate that into English for me?

If that is the case why are coach drivers wages generally lower then truck drivers?

The reason train drivers get more money, is because it’s closed shop(as far as I can tell)
If your face don’t fit, you ain’t getting in. Plus, if the train drivers strike, who are you going to get to drive ? Polish ?
And 1 train not moving causes major hassle for thousands of voters, a few trucks off the road, and joe public is chuffed to ■■■■.
When we get to a situation where there are only 1000 truck drivers in the country, we might have a bit more clout. Until then, we are expendable.
(posted as a driver who got ■■■■■■ off with the pay and conditions in a job, and have gone out and done something about it - and is now sweating in a DHL Daf in sedgemoor !
[for more money tho …)

How will we know when Tesco drivers go back to work?

They still drive as though they are on a daytrip to the seaside :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you mean they drive at the speed limit and hold you back?
Shame on them! (Not!)

No they drive at well below the speed limit whatever the road conditions. In most of Europe there is a maximum and a minimum speed on motorways.

So if you get a Tesco truck doing his normal 48 mph and several coaches doing a legal 60mph in lane 2 It is the Tesco driver that dictates the pace

However in Yorkshire we call it hanging the bag out
