I would love to explain my friend but sadly i can’t. Trust me you don’t want to know anyway.

An army chef then?! Forget Aldi or lidl the worst of the worst not in the same class as tesco, sainburys etc. Big hope woud be co-ops new rdc at newhouse opening in new year, not much else goin on anytime soon apart from agency work…

No offence to army chefs they are superb. But nae chance pal. what will co op be paying??

co-op pays its class 2 drivers a tenner an hr i shud think class 1 nearer 11 the same sorta wages for tesco as well. tesco probly best to work for they do recruit now and then as they employ loads of drivers at livi.

that sounds alright to me. i will just have to wait and see whay prevales muker. cheers for the info

You’ll have to work there on agency first in order to be in the right place at the right time and you won’t be getting a tenner an hour for that and your face will have to fit too! If I remember rightly Gogzy was struggling to get worthwhile shifts out of Livi as well. Don’t bank on it mate. Do you have any other options for training before leaving?

even thought of do freelance courier gogzy. could adr which woild possibly open more doors.

co-op pays around £35k. tesco drivers CAN earn over £40k. i dont know about the others. the co-op shop deliveries arent worth the hassle and newhouse will depend largely on how they pull their RDC managers together. ■■■■■■■■■■■ and pitreavie are a shambles, harthill is better but who knows what will happen when they are all chucked in together. they dont get on with each other and have their own systems in place. very strange!
tesco might suit you as you are still mean and green. they are very much into regimes and you do it their way or they will kick you out. the first hurdle is getting in there in the first place. if you dont play golf, dont waste your time.
JBT are rumoured to be looking but the money is crap and there must be reasons why several members of staff have walked out in the past few weeks! im not sure how you would cope with the disorganisation there anyway. a few drivers are put of by the fact their vehicle is never ready to go when they turn up for their shift. on the other hand, you might just get on with what needs doing to get out on the road anyway. as long as they are paying, i dont care how long it takes as long as its not my fault. last sunday being a prime example. i picked up my allocated trailer, opened up the back because the fridge was running and discovered the trailer was full when it should have been empty. i was asked to tip it so it took 2 1/2 hours from start time to getting out the gate!
iceland/bookers are supposed looking too. last i heard the pay was around £26k

Hello troops. Please forgive me as i am new to this forum thing. I am currently serving in the armed forces, but due to family issues would like to leave.

If you think you’re going to have more family life than you do in the forces, you’re sadly mistaken. Industry average working week is over 50hrs. Getting up at 5am and getting back home at 7pm and too knackered to do anything on a weekend is par for the course. You can legally work up to 15hrs a day. What time you finish isn’t dictated by the time the shift ends, its dictated by the delays at deliveries and the delays on the road. Many jobs have a couple of nights out or out all week. Wages are back to what they were several years ago.

So if you’re doing it to be home more, stay put. If you’re doing it for the money, you’ll have to put a lot of hours in to earn £31k.

As much as I don’t agree with most of what Vitriol Turton posts these days, I can’t disagree with him here. Spot on.

Hello troops. Please forgive me as i am new to this forum thing. I am currently serving in the armed forces, but due to family issues would like to leave. I have heard so many rumours about salaries from, Tesco,Asda,Aldi,Morrison and Sainsburys. I would love to here from anyone who can tell me how much these guys actually earn and if the working conditions are good or bad. I currently earn 31k a year and would like to recieve a salary round about the same. I have been doing agency work in my spare time for the last 3 years to gain experience. Any advice given would be greatly appreciated by all. I will be living in westlothian area. Thankyou all ladies and gents

You could follow Gogzy over the water and then at least you get to see all your family for 1 full week in every month, and they like ex service men
