It is with great sadness that I must report that another Middle Easter has passed away…
TERRY TOTT died peacefully at home in Leicester yesterday (03.02.15) after a lengthy illness. He was 68.
“Totty” was a great character, full of spirit right to the end. He had a great sense of humour and was a true gent.
Apart from working for Astran, Totty also worked for Redcliffe Roadways and as an owner driver, he subbed for Knights of Old with his trusty Leyland Marathon.
Although quite ill, Totty attended the Middle East symposium at Gaydon last September where he met some of his old mates and rekindled some great memories and relived times on the overland run with much amusement. I was so pleased he enjoyed the day!
You will be sadly missed Totty. You were a lovely man and it was a pleasure to know you.
Now you can go and find Bob Paul and give him a big hug! RIP my friend.
