Totally agree, that car driver should know that lane hogging is now illegal.

+1. Car driver was being overtaken AND undertaken at the same time, should’ve got the hint but didn’t and then for dramatic effect slammed on brakes and veered into the n/s lane…

It’s bad driving from the lorry but he’s done that deliberately out of frustration.
I went to overtake a car once who was dawdling in lane 1, as I got level he accelerated, I went back in behind, he slowed again, I went to overtake again, he accelerated… I may or may not have banged a left indicator on and moved him to the hard shoulder. I am trying to be the “serene, calm driver who can deal with difficult traffic situations without a hint of aggression” that job adverts seem to ask for, but I’m not quite there yet

The girl appears to be in a queue of traffic and keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front, after that dangerous overtake the lorry driver wouldn’t have been able to safely go anywhere, in fact you can see his brake lights come on because he had to slow down to avoid running into the vehicle in front.

There’s no excuse it was disgraceful and dangerous driving by the lorry drive.

Another dash cam worrier, lorry driver at that, what a sad world we live in , he did return to middle lane.crack on drive

The video will only appear for me at the size of a post stamp, I can’t go full screen. In this case you’re right, lorry driver is just being an impatient ■■■■■ I’ll have to take my 1st post back.

Not uncommon.
Had some TNT subbie up my ■■■ while I was on my scooter last night. He seemed upset that i was doing 40mph in a 40 at about 1am
Was tempted to go to the depot and report him but had no proof and I was in a pretty forgiving mood.

Night trunkers are the worst though.
They often completely ignore average Speed cameras and are just flat out so they can get home 5 minutes quicker because they hate their job.

You would have hated the 1980’s.What average speed cameras what limiters more like 55 minutes than 5. :smiling_imp:  You’ve also obviously never had to try to beat the morning traffic when running late heading into London and round the M25 so as you don’t run out of hours or get too knackered to drive after a long night.

But ironically don’t remember anyone resorting to such insane banzai moves as that one.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
BIG +1 THERE .
the police should use videos like these to prosecute incompetent lane hogging car drivers and get them off the roads.
left lane only except when overtaking.
idiots like this only cause frustration as the video clearly shows, but no doubt someone will be along shortly once they wake up to enlighten us as to how irresponsible the truckie is .and how a professional driver, blablabla.yawn… :unamused:

the fact she nealy takes the side out of the artic in lane 1 just because the overtaking truck cut the nose off of her just completely shows what a pathetic poor standard of incompetent driver she/they are.

I couldn’t see it for it was a short video and I’m sure someone who drives that bit of road everyday will undoubtedly correct my ignorance.

So I am going to go out on a limb here,
Near side lane is COMPLETELY EMPTY and all these ■■■■■■■■■ are running over each other to try and get half a mile an hour on each other.

Have you ever thought “maybe I am the problem?”
If you haven’t, you really ARE the problem.

Your driving in an over population piece of dirt and no one cares about your personal battle with the system that you have allowed to control your destiny.

Chill the ■■■■ out people…

No it’s not. You can see a car to the left of the container wagon in the first part of the clip, I think you get a glance of it later on too.

I cannot make out the speed flashing on the gantry, is it 50 ? If so that would make sense as the left hand car is probably doing 45 (50 on speedo), the container wagon is doing 50 (as speedo), the nervy girl has got stuck in that lane for some reason and is terrified of going over 50 on speedo (which again is probably only 45) and Mr Aggressive with his empty flat trailer wants to do 56, knowing that with his calibrated tacho that he will only be doing 54-57 and wont get done under the 10% + 2 rule.
Frustrating for the flat driver perhaps but no amount of frustration can justify using a HGV as a weapon, (unless it’s in self defence of course  ). Of course I might be completely wrong.
Depending which police force it comes under, this guy is probably heading for a big problem. Some seem really keen to use this social media / dashcam stuff.
Aside from that, what an image to be put out for a family firm that looks like they spend good money on livery for their trucks.
I would have thought his boss is furious. If that car had of gone under the container truck the carnage that followed would make renewal of your fleet policy either impossibly expensive or not available at all.

Edit :- Actually looks like 60 on the gantry ? so my theory is, slightly, flawed

Heres a foretaste of what is going to happen though from the facebook comments :-

Chris Leigh Don Iddon it has been by at least 10 people , myself included . It’s also been sent by others to DVSA , the Traffic commissioner , B R Saunders and VOSA .

Probably don’t have to worry about the VOSA one :unamused:

It’s all a bit of a non event really this. I have seen similar happen at least twice this week on the m62 (at least 4 or 5 hgvs using lane 4 on windy hill) and the m1 (2 or 3 using lane 4 at wooley edge).

It happens day in day out, it’s really poor driving particularly this guy cutting in far too early on her but it’s going on all the time.

It’s just another sign that the roads are far too congested and that drivers, both professionals and non, don’t take into consideration the fact we all have a part to play in making sure each other get home safely.

For those who can’t see it properly, it’s a 4 lane section of the M25 with lane 1 marked for the M4 and the other 3 lanes marked M25, the signs on the gantry limit the speed to 60 mph.

The 3 outside lanes marked M25 each have a queue of traffic moving along quite smoothly until the B R Saunders lorry driver got impatient and pulled out into lane 4 forcing a car to brake, he then overtook the car in lane 3 and then pulled back in front of the car before he had fully passed her, the girl in the car that had been overtaken was forced to brake to avoid the rear end of the lorry hitting her car, immediately after the pointless overtake the Saunders lorry driver also had to brake to avoid running into the car in front of him.

It was a totally pointless overtake as after the lorry got in front of the car he was still stuck in the same queue of traffic as he was before the overtake.

There was no lane hogging involved, in fact from the short video clip the traffic appears to be moving as it should with the vehicles in site of the camera all maintaining a constant speed and safe distance from the vehicle in front.

Been in that situation many many times. Sat behind a car that won’t make progress, and I just want to get past. But what’s the point, theres nowhere to go. Pass one slow moving car and theres another in front. Light a ■■■, chill out and remember I’m hourly paid.

Thanks tachograph for the correct version of what actually happened. I would have commented earlier but as you see all you get is ignorant, arrogant and childish replies.
This type of driving is all too common amongst lorry drivers. Big bullies that don’t have anything between the lugs. :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp: :imp:

I did not mean every post, but just read some of the pathetic comments.
Too many biased pea brains in my opinion

The problem for car drivers is it is difficult to count on their fingers whilst driving to work out what lane they should be in
