It did rob but occasionally things are posted in haste and are regretted later which is fair enough & I’ve been guilty of this myself.
I appreciate Phil and the fellow above have no love for the police but I do think that you can’t tar all with the douche bag brush and some if not the majority are only human.

This happened a few years ago on the A1 near elkesly, no one was in the patrol car and no one was injured.

I feel the same sometimes about some of the trucking fraternity but at the end of the day I would never really want to see anyone hurt, people are just doing there job whether we like it or not and most have family and loved ones at home.
People may not like the police for whatever reason but at the end of the day what would this country be like if we didn’t have them.
I have run fowl of them in the past as many have but I am still gratefull that they are there doing there best to make sure the country is as safe a place as possible.
I bet if they wernt there and all the kiddy fiddlers and the like were walking amongst us you would have a different view.
Think about it from allsides !

I’m no fan of the police myself, Some will support them no matter what. If that’s the opinion they have, then fine.

Dude seriously you need to get a reality check, im sure if you were involved in a terrible accident and needed to be cut from your vehicle they would be there along with the rest of the emergency services, trying there best to save and protect you, and if you didn’t pull through I would bet there would be another RIP Drive thread on here, all about a good old boy who like the rest of us was “just doing his job”.

Well at the end of the day everyone has a right to there opinion even if others don’t like it, and I for one respect that so your opinion is completely up to you, hope you don’t mind me saying but maybe working on the diplomacy skills may endear you and your point of view to more people but again that’s your call.
No matter, I still say I hope that you will never need there services and no matter who it is I for one would rather we didn’t need to add another list of condolences to anyones RIP Drive thread.

I hope nobody else ever needs their services & just get on with life, I’d rather more of my tax money went to, NHS, fire & rescue etc…
My guess would be that a certain member has had dealings with the police at some time which they deem did not result in the decision they wanted and therefore they have a view that all police are the same
Its the same thing as some car drivers who get cut up by a few bad truck drivers then have a view that all truckers are bad

I can definitely agree to that, had quite a few run ins in the past with them specially in my younger days but hey life goes on, lets just make the best of it.
