televisions

I was wondering how drivers got on when the switch over occurred, did they have to throw away their old tvs and buy digital, or just get a set top box, would be interesting to know, as i have a tv in my garage i came across the other day, Its a dual voltage ( but needs a new lead ) runs at up to 34 volts, its colour, with a dvd player and may be of use to someone who wants to collect it, cos i cant be bothered boxing it up and posting it ( im in Chatham ) could meet at the Chatham or Gillingham turn though. I had thought about cash converters, but theyre not interested if it isnt digital. Its a Thomson by the way, and works.

Just buy a digital box and connect it up, tune your old telly to the one channel the box broadcasts on. We changed over here about 4 years ago and the government actually gave out discount vouchers for 75% off at certain shops. I did it, I had to re-tune the box at different locations obviously but that only takes about a minute. Last Christmas my dear missus bought me a new flat screen TV for my truck so the box is now gathering dust somewhere.
