Whats the best route? A66 scotch corner to bowes shut. Was thinking the a67 though barard castle but im sure theres a weight limit somewhere. A69 better option??

I know this is a wee bit circuitous, but I would suggest the A1, A69 and then the M6 South, coming off at J40.

A69. Unfortunately for you whilst there’s a way around the weight limit in Barnard Castle involving going down an almost single track road with a bridge on a S bend where two trucks can’t pass each other it comes out right at the end of the dual carriageway section at the junction where they’re doing all the roadworks so you can’t use it.
