Was musing about the old days last night.
In the late 70’s and early 80’s I was a regular shipper through St Malo… Mostly Portugal bound.
There was a fella worked in Brittany Ferries, an ex driver by the name of Ted. An affable, somewhat eccentric chap. A smoker and he always had a leather lighter holder around his neck. I’d met him before on the road… He might have been on for GBE or something. West Country based I think so you Darset lads will know him.
Anyone remember him and his surname?
Is he still around?
