A professional is also someone who needs special training to do their job and most true professionals
do their job to the best of their ability after their training.
It’s a pity some lorry drivers cannot act or drive responsibly.
I.E. By not driving likes idiots. A competent driver can still drive like an idiot as is proved everyday on our roads.
Stop being pedantic and just admit I am correct about the standards.
Now I am off to the pub…Good night.
Sorry I thought you had just come back from the pub after that last post

It’s a pity some lorry drivers cannot act or drive responsibly. Most do, it is a minority!

Stop being pedantic and just admit I am correct about the standards. Come with me for a day! Just leave your high horse at home because it’s not coming in my cab!!

Ha Ha back in from the pub and wondering how much you have had to drink■■?
Yes surgeons and doctors make mistakes. We all make mistakes. But driving like an idiot is not making a mistake. Is it■■?
Tailgating is not a mistake nor is bullying other drivers because they have a bigger vehicle. Speeding is generally not a mistake either so that blows your stupid theory.
According to you the minority drive like idiots. Sorry but that is not a general view only your biased opinion.
You say you are competent and never drive like an idiot…maybe so but I have seen many experienced drivers who thought they were competent but in actual fact their driving was attrocious.
I am not on any high horse. I see things as they are and any normal person who knows anything about driving will realise the standard of driving is appalling.
END OF.
I’d say Albion that most trucks are driven fairly professionally/competently whatever in my opinion. A few ■■■■■ obviously, but generally pretty considerately.
However IMHO most taxis and cabs are driven badly. Hammering along, ploughing through on a two way road when their side is obstructed by cars, breaking the speed limit etc. Some are good I will admit, most are nobbers though.
In respect of other vehicles, lets admit it, if a double decker bus or tractor pulls out in front of you, your hearts going to sink isn’t it
Everyone is in such a rush nowadays they don’t have the patience to put up with other vehicles.
Re the black taxi’s, I’ve been in one where the bloke slowed down a mile from home in a national speed limit area to 30mph for no reason whatsoever, I reckon to get more fare.
After this we always used to request the next village and then say we didn’t have much money left so they’d pull over early where we actually wanted off
Driving on a fri/sat early morning you can spot them a mile off behind you. Erratic speeds and total disregard for other vehicles. Must be checkin da Uber app or fallin asleep.
taxi driver squeezing between my wagon and parked van. Hit both cars

Brilliant, zoom in and look at the driver’s face and he looks like an extra from the Walking Dead. Interesting choice of footwear too for a ‘professional’ driver.

I wish I was of the same opinion. Got to say I did not like black cab drivers when I drove in London but as regards bad driving I would say taxi drivers are no worse than any other group.
Do not drive trucks so often these days but sick fed up being tailgated by some trucks when I am doing the legal limit in my car.
Absolutely no need for it.
