I have been done loads of work round walsall at the moment… what on earth happend here? all the land marks have gone to be replaced by lights, lights and more lights, but anyway i digress. I must be seeing 3 or 4 tatters wagons filled with everything nickable - kids bikes, trampalines, railings etc… now I am sure everything has been given to them
but if Vosa botherered to come to town they would have a field day… not a strap in sight, stuff projecting to the sides, rear you get the picture?
Now today I have just driven down one of the main roads… signs to parks, and dog kennels etc suddently missing■■? drive a bit futher along and they are placed “just out of sight” in the hedgerow.
I hope they get stopped - but would anything happen ?
the scrap price is at an all time high. there are loads of them in every town and city.
and nothing will fall off, it’s like the crown jewels to them.
Saw one in brum last night broken down with a full load. One of the chaps was lying in a large pool of oil trying to fix it whilst the other sat on the tail gate guarding their finds. Was amusing for 30 seconds stuck at the lights.
Made me chuckle

Is the VOSA site between 6 &7 closed? There used to be loads of foreign motors parked up there but it seems very quiet since the roadworks have been put in place.
The vosa site is still open at 6 & 7
Rumour has told me that they are building a new place on the opposite carriage way on the old container base. They’ll be able to park a few wagons up in there

The one on the island where the a5 meets the a38 lichfield?
Never seen vosa in there ever. I do however see the odd copper or foreigner parked up infront of their gates(dont think he’d been pulled)

yeah thats the one I meant, muckley corner is the next roundabout in cannock direction.
they always seem to be at wall island on a wednesday or a thursday every week like clockwork
Police numbers going down apparently, gives us cowbys a better chance to do as we please…
there terrible for it round the west midlands, greedy boards with extensions and some hope thrown in.
always a old wheezer of a transit too that looks like it should be on its own load.
funny you should say they would never loose there load. i drove round coventry the a route once, to avoid a motorway jam and saw all the brake lights so got my heckles up and what should i see in between lane 1 and 2. a car door, not a small one either, a full still with glass car door just lay there, i put my hazards on and slowed down to warn others and as i was doing so i ran over what looked like a old style hoover metal extension rod. fully pulled over now i watched a knack red old transit with nothing but a tangled load holding itself up by being entwined with itself, REVERSING down the partial hard shoulder line you get on big a roads,
how admirable i thought come to warn others of the obstruction no doubt phoned the authorities so people could be warned. and maybe if safe to do so retrieve the items.
nope all i got was a mouth full of abuse on how “its my metal, you leave it be” and when i asked if authorities had been phoned or if he could maybe do so i got told in no uncertain terms that if i did so i would be a dead man.
i really would be shocked but the amount of times i have seen similar or worse i seem to have desensitised to it all.
