Isn’t this a stupid job? If only we had known the value of these old photographs and the chances we have all had to take them. We have all sat in queues at tank-washes and seen lorries and companies we will never see again.
From Sadlers at Thornaby to Wincanton at Barry the images in my head are all amazing. A great shame to have lost all these memories.
Yep, your right there wheelnut, i wish i’d taken more photos, even when i carried my camera i was always in the wrong place or in too much of a rush somedays to take a picture. But all we can do is enjoy what we’ve got there are some cracking photos on this site, i’ll put on all i’ve got eventually, but i can’t match the bubbleman!!

kev, dad drove for castrol from late 60’s to early 90’s if i remember the unit wasnt put on the road till 73 and was given to george johnston. think thats what he said will ask again when he gets back from hols and if i can will see if george is still around via the castrol social club.
