Anyone know anything about an Esso tanker crash on the M6 just before J11 SB at around 5am this morn.
I went past NB, & it was dark, but it looked as though he’d driven beyond the hard shoulder onto the grass.
Strange thing was though it looked like some sort of jackknife, but the trailer was paralell with the road, & the unit was at an angle of around 120 dgs on the NS

Had he just turned the cab in for an O/s cab tyrechange ? Waiting for a fitter ?

Was he on a VMS hardstanding ?
No don’t thinks so. The cab was well past 90 Dgs to the trailer.
This was one of our drivers! Apparently trailer wheels locked up and unit thought it was hitting a hill and dropped down 2/3 gears , driver couldn’t do jack he just held on. He caught barrier and it ripped off three of the six faucets which if loaded would of dropped 16000 lts. So he was pretty lucky!
