Tanker drivers on strike in Grangemouth

Once again UNITE have backed this strike for tanker drivers for pension and hourly rate. When will UNITE back a strike for road haulage for a better deal ! Bring back the old TGWU and we might get the same service from a union.

Until other drivers stand together and stop stabbing each other in the back they will not in most places form a strong enough union of brothers.

Unite is only the cover name, the union is the workforce, they either stand together like the tanker lads or they bicker and backstab one another and get picked off.

Most drivers are too blinkered and brainwashed to see the wood for the trees.

Very wise words indeed! :grimacing: :grimacing:

It’s not just drivers it’s all about the economy as a whole.Considering the hostile nature of the country in general, since the end of the 1970’s,to union activety and support,I wouldn’t like to put money on them being able to win this dispute.

Fair point CF, govts since then aided and abetted by the mainstream media have done a brilliant job of dividing and overruling the people.

One section after another are targetted by those in power, fingers pointed at them as somehow being responsible for the crap hole we find ourselves in, from umarried mothers to bankers to tax dodgers to the disabled to the bnp…others encouraged to grass 'em via freephone numbers.

The whole country is at each others throats, voting for the same party with three names the liblabcon whilst brainwashed enough to not realise there isn’t a ■■■ paper between the three sets of traitors.

Working people if they stick together still form the backbone of this country, we don’t need bloody politicians but they need us.
If we all stopped working, or rather stopped paying then the whole rotten shambles would collapse.

We need a leader, someone who can’t be bought, to show the people whats happened tell them the truth, you up for it CF?

It’s a bit like asking for a volunteer pilot amongst the passengers to pull a 747 out of a screaming nosedive 2,000 feet above the ground after it’s crew went collectively mad. :open_mouth: :smiling_imp:

But having said that I’m always up for a challenge.

Not sure how effective a strike would be in general haulage when the world is full of Poles / Romanians / Whatever who’ll work all day for the price of a Findus Lasagne. Them days are long gone.

not so sure your 100% right, ive seen our lads stand up and say NO on more than one occasion lately, not seen it before, but seeing it now, theyve had enough, you can only push drivers so far, good lads as well, not the militant type at all,but theyve been pushed and pushed to the limit,to the stage theyve had enough.

here here juddian, a bit of balls here and there who knows , but , each and every one has bills to pay so we all have to work our arse off regardless, but then again who’s to say it would not work. would it , I dont know but certainly worth a try, only , big thing is that most drivers work for big companies that are doing all right so do not want to rock the boat as it were

You are on the money.
We need a to stand together as one at the same time.

However…I had two anti govt. websites a few years back…So I know what can happen if you don`t move swiftly and anonymously

If we really want to stand together, we need to be organised and then some, we need to be commited and have realistic objectives…But most importantly, we need to be as one, as that is where the strength will come from!
