Live A50 blaze: Road to be closed until early hours after tanker collides with fire engine

How the ■■■■ do you not see a stationary fire engine a car on fire ?

It’s the old “target acquisition” scenario. Your attention is drawn to something and you automatically steer towards it.

Sent from a sleeper pod atop a BG registered Sprinter parked just outside Crewe.

The driver should be on a sunshine bus, never mind driving a lorry.

i bet it’s a tad warm in there tonight ray , it’s given frost tonight so you could cool down a bit later on .

Do you think he had goods in transit insurance?

Not his fault. There was thick smoke from a fire, couldn’t see a thing.

I usually slow down when I see smoke ahead of me.

I believe this to be tongue in cheek but if it’s not, why did nobody else run into it?

And speed up when it’s behind with the hope the fire will go out :grimacing: :grimacing:

Whoosh…

How in the hell do you not see a fire engine and a car on fire it wasn’t even dark?

It defies logic it really does that we have to share the road with idiots like this.

Some drivers are beyond help looks like his village is missing its idiot, definate window licker.

I’d imagine the diesel tank did that shortly after impact.

The amount of folk I see driving about playing with phones just astounds me, so not very surprised.

But what does puzzle me a bit; there is a car on fire in lane 1, a fire engine is dealing with the situation and the road remains “live” ?
