talk sport

do nite trunk so always tune into talk sport from 6 till 5 am …mike graham always a laugh and tommy from glasgow …being from glasgow have to say hes a pain in the ■■■…then theres all the other characters …anyone listen in …

I loved it at first when it was Talk radio, but then it went all sport and I couldn’t stand the footbal, football, football.
Did I mention, I hate football

I stopped listening when mike parry left, I’m not into football at all but I’d quite often listen to a football show. But when they moved away from current affairs a bit more I stopped listening

I listen every night and i hate tommy from Glasgow he is such a prick.

Talk Radio was the best invention ever when you were driving, always a good topic, some great presenters, but they all became more famous than McKenzie so he sacked them.

James Whale, Jon Gaunt, Anna Raeburn, Tommy Boyd, Ian Collins, Mike Mendoza, George Galloway and the sad death of Mike Dickin.

I cant do with the sports stuff, at least Gaunty brought us news about Coventry Speedway

I stopped listening after Jon Gaunt got the boot.

Used to have some cracking debates but now its just constant sport.

While on the subject, being back Atlantic 252 :sunglasses:

Ha ha that bloke is on several stations! ‘Its all the banks’ !!
Not heard him for a while but I bet its the same drivvle as I heard a hundred times?

I used to listen to current affairs phone un but got fed up with the crap reception and endless adverts. Talking sport allday 'king boring…

Can’t stand these chatterbox stations that seem to attract very little but clueless monkeys! A bit like Trucknet now I think about it…

used to like when i was doing my Ramsgate - Frankfurt overnight run. James Whale, Ian collins and the late Mike Dikin. Turned off when it went all ‘Sport’. Not listened since!

I do lates now and probably get the best of Talk Sport in its modern format. In the day the station has gone down hill since Parry and Gaunt left. However I always listen to Andy Goldstein and Jason Cundy on the sports bar 22.00 - 01.00 which is always a good show, even if you dont like footy they are usually very funny.

The old stalwart Mike Graham is also good after the sportsbar, and never about sport. He debates some important subjects and doesn’t hold back any punches, however he makes you cringe sometimes, as he takes calls from what can only be described as mentally unstable people, and proceeds to basically rip the pee out of them for purposes of entertainment, a radio version of when X Factor wheel the plebs on to stage, who are obviously not the full ticket and cannot sing, then rip them to bits.

For footy commentary I dont think you can beat Stan Collymore and his co presenters at the moment, you may not like the guy for his past, but he talks lots of sense, and is brilliant to listen to in my opinion.

Still a far better station than radio 5 Dead, as its listening figures and its endless Sony award wins show.

Jon gaunt what a moron. Typical right wing loud mouth screaming immigration immigration immigration and cutting off any one who challenged him.
Mike parry was great though.

A hypocrite too; How many times did he slate “Jeremy Whine” and “Five Dead” and I’ve heard him on there since…

I know he slated the bbc when on talksport but before that he was on NBC London and was always praising the bbc and how cheap the licence was.

As he said, it was his show. At least he could hold a good argument, Jeremy Whine just seems to interview liberal leftie loonies, and not very well.

The whole thing stunk when Scott Chisholm fired Gaunty over his ■■■■ retort on a smoking issue

Yeah the sacking was harsh. I read his autobiography and he had quite a disturbed childhood and was in care and a foster home so it was something he was quite passionate about.
Then to later employ richard keys and andy gray in the middle of a media storm just don’t add up.

If you want me to listen all day to TS, bring back Gaunty.

Cant stand the two ■■■■■■■■■ from 10 - 1 in the morning, wasnt one of them sacked for making a wrong comment?

Adrian Durham knows his stuff, although I dont normally listen to him nowadays.
