Taking too many pallets off

The last two times i’ve been to Tosco Avonmouth they’ve taken too many pallets off, the first time was Tuesday when they should have left 6 on they took them all off and immediately started breaking them down so that was a pain as it took a while to 're-sort it out. Then i’m in there today and they take 2 extra off that was part of a Sainsburys load, all these pallets are clearly marked and i’ve made a point of telling them what’s what before handing in my keys.
What’s up with some of these warehouse bods can they not read gggrrrrr.

What’s your worst experiences of this sort of thing ?

10 pallets of DVD / CD’s taken off by mistake, broken down and put away. Took a rather long time to get sorted and my boss had steam coming out of his ears! lol

This is the problem…and even if the goods in staff tell them what’s to be left on they just nod their head and/or grunt even if they didn’t understand a word of it :imp:

To be fair to a lot of rdc,s they’ve actually come and told me that I’ve got pallets on that arnt for them, they’ve been wrongly loaded by our loaders,6 months ago I got told by morrisons sittingbourne I had morrisons Kettering (2) pallets in amongst there pallets, rang our depot, they’d been looking for them,I delivered them,if they hadn’t spotted them whilst tipping the load, told me,we would of been none the wiser.

Done it myself at an Aldi

A few years ago i had 10 pallets of hoover bags for Tosco’s, 5 for Tosco Thurrock & 5 for Tosco Weybridge, Simples i thought, WRONG. It clearly stated on the paperwork 5 pallets & there was a chep pallet note also stating 5 pallets but oh no too easy for Tosco Thurrock, :unamused: off came the 10 pallets lol The mistake was realised when i pulled the truck off the bay and :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: it was empty  So back went on the truck and i returned to goods in where after tears and laughter,  the CLEARLY MARKED Tosco Weybridge pallets was put back on the waggon :sunglasses: Luckily they were still waiting to be put away so they were still in goods recieved, & the happy goods in op loaded me back up in record time. :stuck_out_tongue:

Superdrug at South Elmshall. I once went in there to deliver 10 pallets, and specifically told the flt driver (it was unloading on the flat, not against a bay) to leave the stack of a dozen or so empties alone…nothing to do with them. After a visit to the loo, I came back & the flt driver said he was finished and my paperwork would be in the office in due course. My truck was completely f***ing empty!
It took me nearly an hour & a half to sort it out, including having to threaten to take my tacho out & spend the night blocking their yard if I didn’t get my empties back.

I was tipping Asda Washington last night and the forkie took too many pallets off at once resulting in a full pallet of wine smashed all over yard

even if the pallets are marked it is a good idea to put two or even four internal straps behind your next drop, unless the goods in staff have had clearance to use sharp objects…

Argos Acton Gate (STAFFORD) are good at cutting out you’re internal straps. :unamused:

years ago I was tipping at comet corby if I remember, had a load of computers on from Germany. got the green light and went to get my keys to be told they had put 3 pallets back on because they didn’t order that many. so I asked them what I was suppose to do with them they said don’t care we only wanted x amount and you bought y, do with them what you like, that took a lot of sorting out nearly ended up with 50 odd computers, got them off in the end :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Asda at Lutterworth recently took off one consignment of 12 pallets but left on the 13 pallets of water despite me explaining to an English chap at the window that I had 2 consignments and all of the load is for them. The really embarrassing thing is that I didn’t notice till I got to the barrier  .

When you pull off the bay at tj morris home bargains liverpool you pull straight to the gate with your doors open. I had 3 seperate deliveries the other week with more pallets for onward delivery… when showing the security man i realised something wasnt right. My notes had all been correctly signed for but there was too many pallets on my trailer… theyd only left 7 of the 8 pallets of duracell batteries on my wagon. I let them know. Now i get treated like royalty by the security lads when i go back there .

I think Morrisons at Bridgewater (chilled) are pretty good at emptying your trailer when they should be leaving stuff on.
