cheers boys, lot of funny ones and a lot of helpfull ones, i didnt find today too bad but thats because its was industrial estates to industrial estates and one bay, rest of the week its garden centres !! lot less room and a lot more cars to hit ! i really dis like blind sight reversing its not a nice feeling not being able to see where the trailer is going. theres a lot of trailer swapping at where im at (bleach of lavant to anyone down south), i think this week is going to be stressfull but there is something very satisfying about pulling off a textbook reversing manuver !
Just take your time and if you get interrupted start again. The golden thing to remember is PARK BRAKES! on the unit and trailer.

Good advice! Also, it’s blind siding and if you can’t see where you’re going, GOAL! Get Out And Look.
I am dumb and dumber.i had a yellow line that got tangled up,i forgot to apply the parking brake in the tractor unit, then while standing in between the trailer and the unit, the wagon was rolling down a small gradient on an empty road in rural Spain, after un tanglling the yellow line.
Luckily, with haste, managed to get in then cab to stop the wagon.Anyone that says they have not done a silly thing is a liar.

Did you have to have 15 shunts round a roundabout like me then

Are all Amazon places the same? I would rather have haemoroids( piles) than go back to their dump at Glenrothes. In Swansea, they make you reverse down a slope onto a bay, put a wheel chock on, an airlock on, make you sit in the drivers pen, sorry, reception while your keys are with the goods in pillock. They have a refusal list as long as my arm. It’s pathetic.
I had to put an air lock on the other day…
I felt like just pushing the shunt button on the trailer and driving off with forklift and driver in the back

Dont get cocky, even when you’ve done it a thousand times, sometimes the bay can move one way or the other just as you get there.

A useful blind-side reversing tip if like me you didnt think of this …
If you have electric mirrors then adjust the passenger mirror as you reverse
