other to Canada as Way Home to visit Parents is shorter
but
NZ is such a Beautiful Country,just as here only that Xmas is in Summer,but,…Long Way Home if you will visit someone or Contract Ends.

Its so true, a well made observation … and some of them have been around here a long time. (as you say, home grown).
