Take your eye off the ball for a second

Didn’t take into account the difference in height and weight of his third load and rolled his truck on a corner he must have turned a million times.

RIP drive.

Familiarity breeds contempt. I expect most accidents are on roads the most often travelled by the driver.

Sounded like an otherwise good driver who just made one poor decision and paid the price.

Those tall scrap/rubbish trailers are the ones I have seen most often on their sides over the years. I imagine it is easy to load them with too much weight at the top - raising the CG to a dangerous level.

I though it was a bit sick to advertise vacancies in the middle of a report on a driver death. “Are you looking for a job? Click here to see our Hull listings”

Maybe he caught the kerb on the n/s.

Wonder if something heavy in the cab fell on him as most seem to walk away from a roll over even when it falls on the armco at window level.

I suspect the head injury came when his head struck the drivers window/concrete floor OAD :frowning:

RIP Driver. Still driving, just a different highway.

It’s the nature of bin work that the driver rarely has any knowledge of the way it’s been loaded and where the weight is positioned. But would be expected to realise how it’s handling soon after starting out on the road.Absolutely unbelieveable that someone can be involved in a fatal RTA turning into the yard at the end of a run regardless. :open_mouth:
