you know it
Last September the guys at Jaguar,Coventry who used to unload the trucks were all made redundant.
In their place now are exel logistics,a bigger bunch of lazy no good [zb] I’ve yet to meet. There are twice as many of them as the old Jag guys and all they do is walk around with bits of paper in their sweaty hands trying to look busy.It now takes a minimum of 2hrs before they even look at you.
Still,that’s progress for you.
Glad that’s off me chest
Has anyone seen the fleet focus report on the dhl fleet in this weeks truck and driver mag??
It shows all the new mn xxxxxxxxl trucks, brand spanking new.
But when you read the wages,Laugh, i havnt stopped
Wake up EVERYONE 48 hours are a coming.
The hourly rate for the first 50 odd hours was less than £6.50.Overtime at £8.31…
Mentioned on this thread was TDG. I work at a tdg site. And only through us sticking togeter, we get the pay and conditions were on.
Our average earnings for this year.minus nights out and dark money is £31k.
With the extras its around £35k.
We dont have to drive anything untoward I-e car transporters, chemical tankers or wait for hours at docks or rdc’s with no facilitys. We dont start before 4am and any weekend work is rare…
If any of you out there working for a bigish firm you should stick together and get a reasonable rate for what you are worth, not what the company wants to pay you.
Just remember 48 hours means an average of 48 hours you will not get a chance to go and work elsewhere for a top up.You need a liveable wage.
Sorry to rant on
But good motor, bosses does not get you a lifestyle that we should be getting.

and in english that means ■■?
one dhl is on ■■■■■ money
one dhl is on ■■■■■ money
the better of the two drives box trailers
laugh all you like deutsche post is coming to a depot near you
trust me DP are after it all … all thtas worth having and chopping up and then the big one REBRANDING
Deutsche Post have not only been active buying companies up in the UK, other acquisitions throughout Europe have been.
Guipuzcoana in Spain and Ducros Euro Express in France not to mention of course the complete Danzas network.
The amazing thing being that while all this money is being thrown around buying logistical companies Deutsche Posts original area of business mail is running at a loss and as such is being subsidised by the German government.
