I tried to use a normal scanner and couldn’t manage to do it. I asked Tachomaster and they said it had to be their dedicated scanner at several hundred pounds.
Like you I wanted to keep my own records. I like the programme, although my free 30 days has run out now.
I did buy a card reader off ebay very cheap, and that worked fine with the programme.
If you do find out how to link an ordinary scanner, please let me know. I will do the same if I do.
Maybe some more technical bod than me might have an idea.
will give it a go wen i get my tacho out off truck but wont get to try it till tuesday , hopefully will have some joy but no hopin to much , havent got a digi tacho in my wagon yet , so cant go down that road yet .

google.co.uk/products?hl=en& … a=N&tab=wf
if u get 1 let me know lol
Yeah thanks funkyfella - I had already looked at them. I deffo won’t be buying one though, and apparently tachodisc say that there is a factory modification to the firmware if I remember right, so the straight Panasonics won’t work.
In a few years time we will all be on digitach’s so I can’t justify the price, especially when I have a Canon MP600 that does all I want apart from the chart scanning.
smart mart wot bout this 1 not tried as no tacho at home
