Are there such things as special pens for filling in Tachographs? I personally use a biro but it goes through when filling in the reverse of the chart.
have,nt got my bag with me at present but wincanton gave everyone a soft tip pen ,like felt but finer point to it and its marks tacho but dont go through to other side, will post make of it when i get the chance tommorow or fri if poss.
For filling in the reverse of the chart it is better to use a felt tip type pen rather than a biro and not press too hard.
yeah just a felt tip or a fineliner pen, does it a treat. Fountain pen would also work
i personally use a stabilo oh pen universal from partners or any other leading stationary stores
something like this
i really need to get out more
jon
I use a Stabilo Sensor - similar to the one jonboy suggested. Have a look at it HERE.
It has a hard tip, but the tip is spring loaded so adjusts to the writing surface. It will write quite happily on the waxy front of a tacho, as well as on the reverse. They last for ages, and write with a very fine line too - ideal if you have a long(ish) name!
I picked up a new one in Tesco yesterday - cost 0.97p. Well worth it.

Shouldnt worry about too much,we will soon be on digital tacho,s.
For filling in the front of my tacho’s, I use an old biro that has run dry. If you prefer, you could use a rusty old nail
A fine tipped fibre/felt pen is recommended for writing on the back of a chart (in fact I think it actualy has that printed on the back, they used to anyway).
I use an old biro that I’ve had for years for filling in the front of the tacho and one of those gel pens for the reverse. I find they don’tmark through to the other side
