Hi
I have a ‘P’ reg Leyland Daf 45.130 fitted with an old type analogue tachograph that opens with a key. The tacho houses the speedometer and the bulb has gone. I cannot see how you get inside the tacho to do so. It does not look as if it comes apart.
Any help would be much appreciated. Apologises if it’s a daft question/obvious answer.

It’s been quite some time since I have even seen an old analog tacho, but as a Tacho head has to be calibrated I don’t think you can access the head as a user, I imagine it will need replacing or doing at a tacho approved centre. If you could get into it to change the bulb it could affect it’s calibration I imagine.
Open tacho head.
Remove all cards / protectors.
There’s a little gray stub … That’s the bulb . Twist and remove . Get a new one and refit
Many thanks, both, that’s really helpful. Thanks for responding so quickly.
There you go then a simple easy job.
