I thought I was correct but admit I may not have been. In my defence I’ll say I’ve slept since then and abused many a promotional offer at many hostelries.

We still have quite a few old wax machines in service, phasing them out rapidly though.
I did see however a new(ish) daf, with a key in the dash the other day…Won’t have been a new(ish) with a key in the dash for a tacho…
Anything from September 2006 (56 reg) had to be fitted with a Digi from new
It’s was actually may 1st 2006 ,as I had a march 06 merc new if I’d ordered it any later it would have come with a digital .

Had to do one last time week, first time in ages. It screwed itself up as well, took it out at the end of the day and it had got stuck after a few miles so showed nothing except the centre with breaks, other work etc. I’m sure some companies would find that a bonus though.
with some of us its a must be basic requirement…
Yep every day…took a while to remember to switch modes everytime…
My (t)rusty R reg Scania got taken off me last year and I’m currently driving a 51 plate.
I haven’t even got a digi card
So I fill in a chart every day.

How long have you been doing that ?
Still fill charts in we still have about 8 analogue motors.
I only got my digi card about a year ago, still not used it, had the licence 27 years
Added to that I have bleeding discs everywhere as waiting for more envelopes to be delivered
That trucktimer app is a godsend with an old disc tacho though

Yes ok!
Except Saturdays and Sundays.
That better?
Never used a disc before. I did some work for Co-op, got put in a old Daf. Told the TM that I’ve never used said tacho machine. He told me to not to bother and take the spare MAN as it was digital.
Other than my class 2 and 1 training, where I didn’t actually need to put a disc in, but the school just did it as a bit of an extra training excercise, I’ve only ever used an analogue tacho twice. Total PITA, multidrop. Writing down times here there and bloody everywhere. 9.58 day, bit close to the bone. TM sacked off the 4 analogue motors about 6 weeks after I started in 2012. Heaps

Any excuse for a new motor

Heh
I was just wondering, that’s all
It thought you meant that you were driving a digital tacho truck by manually filling in cards every day.
Yep, have been for the past few days, and will be for the next couple weeks. Much prefer the digi tacho less faffing around!
Cheers
