If your unit is privately registered & taxed , doing your own thing not for hire or reward do you legally have to use a tacho ■■ & how does the wtd affect you ?

Indeed. If your vehicle is plated over 7500kg then as I understand it you are fully within the scope of all the usual tacho laws even for private use, which if you have a day job Mon-Fri means you are pretty limited in what driving you can do at the weekends as you have to get your weekly rests in somehow.
