i am taking on of our trucks to a ladies driving challenge next sunday in aid of cancer care,do i have to use my card for this,the venue is about 20 mins away the rest of the day is on private property bearing in mind the 45 hr weekly rest period

I’d guess if your being paid for it then, you need to use your card. If your doing as unpaid chairty work, then I’d say no, it wont fall under Tacho regs.

Unless it’s over 7.5t as that’s the limit for private use.
If it is a vehicle of over 7.5t then you will need to use your card and the driving will count towards your weekly and fortnightly totals. You will also require a daily rest and it will not count as a part of your weekly rest.
