tacho question

my comment was about the cycling post.

A driver must have taken 11 hours rest in a 24 hour period unless he is taking a reduced rest.

Within each period of 24 hours after the end of the
previous daily rest period or weekly rest period a driver shall
have taken a new daily rest period.

I read that post as having a different meaning, when it says the 24 hour period works on a 24 hour cycle.

but your tacho rules work off a 24hr cycle,if you do a 15hr day and have 11 off thats still only a9hr break

My comment about 26 hours was to clarify to others that if you are on duty one minute over 13 hours than you can only have a 9 hour break. It is a simple way of checking your hours as in my example.

Start at 6 in the morning, work until 1900, fine 11 hours rest, work until 19.01 and that 11 hours is reduced to 9 hours rest.

Well that’s how I work it out.

So we do agree, we just used a different explanation
