Hello quick question. Started digi card this morning got three hours rest till 15:00 then I got a call from office saying might have to switch truck with other driver. So I ejected card after three hours rest. Wondering will I have lost those three hours rest when card ejected or will they carry on. Was parked at 11:00 and resting since. Thanks in advance…
Anything on the card while it was in the machine will be saved as whatever mode you had it set to. The fact you didn’t use the truck makes no difference.

As in began rest at 11:00
three hours rest on tacho then card eject at 15:00
so 11 hours rest with complete at 22:00 tonight
or by ejecting the card a 15:00 reset the rest time
cant do a split break of 3 hrs plus 9hrs tonight
So you’re talking about your daily rest.
The pedants here would question the fact that if you’re leaving the vehicle, ejecting card etc that that would be other work so your daily rest has been interrupted.
You could of course already gone home and forgot to eject your card so the next driver had to do it and hand it into your office while you remained on your uninterrupted daily rest 
Forget the pedants m1cks, if you’ve got the wrong type of Tacho head, it will count the ejection of the card as other work!
