Tacho in a 4x4

there is another thread on here recently’ish about a guy with 4x4 and trailer exceeding weight lower limit as he was carrying waste metal turnings from his business. i.e. it’s a tractor unit for regs.

He did have a single car trailer on the back as well, it was one with a fibreglass cover,

as the chart says…anything over 3500kgs for hire or reward needs a tacho.a few years ago tvr used a transit to collect parts…sometimes with a trailer…when he used the trailer he had to use the tacho.

weve got a pickup at our place that gets used to tow trailer mounted generators occasionally and thats got a tacho fitted
