Tacho F1

I’m just wondering do the F1 drivers do they have tacho in there trucks or tacho exemption from it?

Why would they be exempt? They drive a lorry for their job = use tacho.

As I know fair trucks are exemption “they drive lorrys” and I think wreckers are to…

Muckles will tell you why, but I reckon they will be running dead straight and use the tachos to protect themselves. Obviously the Stobart lads will, because they are doing it for hire and reward and they probably have to tip a Tesco ambient load on the way to Misano :stuck_out_tongue:

Most motorsport lorries will have “Not for Hire or Reward” painted on the doors but it may be easier in Spain or France to do it properly.

It would be embarrassing if Maclaren or Red Bull were parked up for 24 hours on the way to a circuit for official qualifying :stuck_out_tongue:

Cheers wheel nuts for the reply

not so daft a question
they could be classed as mobile workshops

When we did the Double Manned Nurburgring to Hungaroring For Ferrari last year it was all on our Digi Cards which were downloaded on the hotel the following day, and all this years will be done in the same way

Cheers buzzard boy

the nearest category is a specialised vehicle transporting circus and funfair equipment.
so it wouldn’t count.
there are 29 exemption categories, and if you do have a vehicle that you think is exempt, then there is a declaration that you fill out at the time of test. then the vehicle is registered as an exempt vehicle.
i suppose it’s better than getting pulled, and arguing the toss for hours on end. (i wonder how many are still registered for moving dead animals?).

Wreckers and Recovery trucks do not need to USE tacho , IF they stay within 100Ks of base

That only works with fallen stock, you can’t use it for a fridge load of Aberdeen Angus beef carcasses :stuck_out_tongue: or tins of corned beef for that matter.
