I have sent my license with the application for a tacho card as proof of id and also address change
I would think it will be back on time ok as its only address change, I’ve changed my licence a few times in the past and its always been a week to 10 days when its been a photo or address change.
I think I’d wait till middle of next week and if it aint back give them a call and explain your situation and see what they say, I’ve found some are a lot more helpful than others at the DVLA.

Ok. So my license has returned with the address changed, but no tacho card, does this come seperate or do they usually come at the same time?
Usually come separate so you may find it comes next day or day after your license!!

Double check you filled out the right form for the Digicard gov.uk/government/uploads/s … 230614.pdf They get sent to different postcodes/departments I think so it might just be between two places just now.
Don’t worry, you don’t need this for training. I, like you got mine in advance of training thinking I’d be clever and using it during training to get extra chance to learn about it and use it. Trust me, don’t bother! You’re going to have so much to think and worry about you’ll only get confused and leave it in or not use it when you could. Bear in mind when you do start working that info will be downloaded too and lets face it, you don’t want to give yourself infringements (even though you won’t have passed they won’t know that) before you’ve even begun.
Just enjoy the training and make sure you’ve got it for passing to get a job! Good luck with it all and enjoy it!
