The next time you insert your card into the tacho head of a vehicle have a scroll back to how many days are recorded. Mine goes back to last year sometime.
No it only has to guarantee to store 28 days (plus the current day) but in reality it will store a lot more but there’s no real method of knowing exactly how much as it depends on how much storage is used up and things like mode changes, stop/start traffic and so on are all entries which use storage.
