Hi guys i was just wondering have any of you ever tried or used one of these tv sticks on a lap top
Yeah, I use a thing called Eye TV on a Mac and it’s great. Works on PC’s too and you can tune into whatever the local stations are all over Europe! It’s £80 or so, depending on what versions you get.
Quality’s good, and because you watch your laptop, it means you don’t have a TV and a laptop to schlepp around. Bit fiddly to set up though. There’s two separate little antennae you plug into the USB stick thingy, but once it’s all set up, away you go.

I was looking at picking one of these and I spoke to a guy at a local maplins. he reckons that you get as good a signal as you would with a regular freeview box. according to him, its all down to the quality of the ariel you are using.
