Just wondering if anyone else has come across an issue with the T-Range gearbox, I’ve noticed over the past few weeks that whenever coming off of roundabouts when loaded, it selects 4th to go round the roundabout, exit and hit the gas and it’ll rev up to about 1600, then change to 7th then after than it just redlines everytime and have to change it to manual to change up a gear.
FYI this isn’t just one truck, I’ve driven 3 so far in our fleet and they all do it, so was thinking possibly a computer fault?
Are you planting your foot to the floor? It will do that if you are. Try about 75% pedal and it will change up correctly. If you’re already doing that then it’s borked.

Yeah it will happen even if you just nurse it, tried different ways but there doesn’t seem to be a way around it, though changing it into manual and then back to auto without changing gear will fix it weirdly enough, which is why I’m thinking it’s something to do with the computer
T-range is a Volvo I-shift controlled by French electronics…
From what I’m lead, the TRange doesn’t have a battery on/off, so it would need the battery flashing, also in the Volvo it’s best to use little throttle when moving off, and then just tap the résumé button, let the electronics do it,
Press and hold the hazard button for a few seconds and it will reset the electronics.
Can’t say I’ve had issues with up-shifting, but when it comes to down-shifting, the T-Range is a little slow and does it far too late for my liking, so it spends most of the day in Manual, the one I drive seems poor at setting off from a stand, and doesn’t like loose surface inclines.
Yeah the other drivers have mentioned it as well, had a volvo before and it was great, never had a problem, can’t quite say the same for the Renaults
Also jumped in this morning and the radio magically isn’t working now either
As for letting it accelerate itself, came off a roundabout this morning and hit the cruise reset, and same thing, 4th into 7th and redline with no shift
Do you use the exhaust brake on its maximum setting to slow down for the roundabout? I mean by using the stalk next to the indicators, not via the brake pedal. Sometimes I’ve found that if you’ve slowed down using the exhaust brake this way, sometimes when you go back on the power, you get the problem you describe.

My Volvo empty, 4-7 wait for it 10–11-12 never really goes over 1600 rpm, the newer ones don’t go out of the green.
Then slowing down lift off, tap the block downshift 10—8 then it’s normally in 3/4 ready to pull away…
