Getting a new phone over the next couple weeks. It’ll be on T-Mobile’s network.
So what they like, I’m looking for feedback good and bad.
I was with them for about three years on their Flext package. Service was fine, always had decent signal.
The only thing I found duff was that if you upgraded phones after your first term they wanted to charge something like £60 for the latest blower even though I was on a £40 p/month contract, yet a new customer could sign up to the same contract and get the blower for nowt! Other than that though no probs.
If you haven’t signed yet, consider going through someone like Phones4U etc 'cos you get free gifts after 30 days or so when you sign up. I got a new iPod when I joined. They do offers inc. PS3, Wii, laptops etc…
Chopsticks:

As are the carphone warehouse
I was on T-mobile before I left the UK, I had a flext package with interweb access, a bit of daft phone, my mistake, but it was not possible to replace it or swap it for something less daft. The network was a little patchy, but all in all it was fine.
I had problems with customer services, at the end of my contract I had an upgrade option/resigning contract and I went for 12 months of reduced monthly fee. It ended up as 18 months which was a bit of a problem as i was leaving the UK. The web page I used had an 12 month option to tick, so when I noticed the end of contract date I started my calls of woe to T-mobile. I think they use an Indian call centre, it got me nowhere, after a few calls to them I managed to wrangle my way to an English person, who managed to sort it out in 5 minutes, but that was one of a few customer service issues I had with them that seemed long winded to deal with, I guess that might be the same with all of them these days.
The package I got I felt was a good choice at a good price, just having to deal with them afterwards was a let down for me, I wouldn’t go back.
Ive found t-mobiles service to be very good. I
ve been with them for years (also got an i-phone on 02)
I rang them a few weeks ago to cancel my contract (which was £20 per month for 500 minutes and 375 texts). The bloke in retentions asked why i wanted to leave.
I told him i wasnt using the phone as my 02 contract gave me enough minutes.
He then offered me a T-mobile g2 touch (htc hero). Hes thrown in an 8gb sd card I get 100 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet for £5 a month. I can have unlimited landlines for another £5. I
m more than happy with the deal, its over 24 months but for £5 a month its unbeatable. See what they`ll give you
Thanks all for your input.
